GOVIS 2002
GOVIS is the Government Information Systems Managers' Forum and has been an unofficial fixture of the Government IT environment since 1992. As a forum for sharing knowledge, GOVIS is a practical example of e-government in action.
The GOVIS 2002/emerge conference in July 2002 was opened by Hon. Trevor Mallard, the minister responsible for e-government.
E-government Unit staff made a number of presentations:
- E-government: where can e-government take the public sector? - Brendan Boyle
- E-government:Hello, I'm from the government. I'm here to help.... - Edwin Bruce (not amenable to online presentation)
- A portal for people - feedback from community consultation - Adele Dimopoulos
- government.nz@your.service - Towards making e-government a reality - Larry Holmes
- Interoperability - a real world proposition - Greg Sloane
- GoProcure - the government e-procurement system - Greg Nichols
